Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

Greater Manchester Businesses is operated by Creative Apple Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12417645. Our registered office is 67 Europa Business Park, Bird Hall Lane, Stockport, England, SK3 0XA.

Contact us at info@creativeapple.ltd or visit our Contact Us page. These terms apply to manchesterbusinesses.co.uk, the advertising and promotion services purchased from us, and use of our marketplace. Paid business listings are an advertising service for businesses. If you act for a business, you must have authority to do so.

2. Accounts and directory content

Keep your account and business details accurate and your password secure. You must have the right to publish the information, images, links and other material you submit. Rights in submitted content remain with their respective rights holders. Submission does not transfer copyright to us. You must have the necessary rights or permission to publish it, as explained in the News, images and submitted content section below.

Do not publish unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, abusive or infringing material, impersonate anyone, submit false reviews, or send unsolicited messages. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Do not publish another person’s private information without permission.

We may review submissions, request corrections or remove content that breaches these terms or the law. We will explain a restriction where reasonably possible. Inclusion in the directory is not an accreditation, recommendation or guarantee of a business. Customers should check a business’s suitability before dealing with it. A contract for a listed business’s products or services is between the customer and that business.

3. Free and paid business listing plans

  • Free Starter: £0.00 for one listing for 365 days, with manual renewal
  • Basic: £15.99 per year
  • Advanced: £29.99 per year
  • Premium: £59.99 per year
  • Platinum: £249.99 per year

The features included in each plan are shown on the package selection page and our Pricing & Advertising page. Prices are in pounds sterling. The total payable, including any applicable tax, is shown before you place a paid order.

Free Starter

Free Starter provides a useful business profile with your business name, description, tagline, logo and cover image, category, location, contact details and opening hours. It does not include a dedicated website link, social or external shop links, video, a photo gallery, featured status, the Member Wall or homepage Spotlight.

You may have one active Free Starter business listing per account. Its publication period is 365 days. After it expires, you can manually renew the free listing through My Account → My Listings, subject to the plan’s eligibility rules. It does not renew automatically, create a paid subscription or automatically convert to a paid plan. No payment is taken for Free Starter.

Keep the listing accurate and remove it when the business is no longer operating. Do not create duplicate listings or additional accounts to evade the free-plan limit. Publication remains subject to our content and account rules. The limit applies to the new Free Starter plan; it does not retrospectively remove the existing free-listing arrangements explained below.

Paid annual plans and upgrades

Basic, Advanced, Premium and Platinum renew automatically every year unless you cancel renewal. Each provides one business listing. The first payment is taken when you buy the plan. Subsequent annual payments are charged through Stripe to the payment method authorised for the subscription. Your account shows your subscription status, renewal date and amount. A free listing does not become paid unless you choose a paid purchase.

Basic adds a dedicated website link and up to 3 gallery photos. Advanced includes up to 6 gallery photos, video and social or external shop links, and the Member Wall. Premium includes up to 12 gallery photos and featured presentation. Platinum includes up to 20 gallery photos, featured presentation, the Member Wall and eligibility for the rotating homepage Spotlight. The package page shows the complete included features.

Homepage Spotlight displays a rotating selection of eligible published Platinum listings. It does not promise continuous display, equal exposure on every visit, a fixed position, visitor numbers, enquiries or sales. Featured and promoted results also depend on the visitor’s filters and chosen sort order.

Your paid plan is supplied after successful payment, subject to any listing review stated during submission. Follow the account’s available upgrade or package-change process and check its price and renewal terms before confirming. If you want to stop an existing subscription, cancel its future renewal in My Account → Subscriptions and check its status; do not assume that removing a listing or submitting a free listing cancels it.

We will notify you in advance of a proposed subscription price change and give you an opportunity to cancel before it takes effect. A price change will not increase the price of a period you have already paid for.

4. Existing free listings

Listings already included free of charge before the annual paid listing service was introduced remain free. The introduction of paid packages does not create a subscription or payment obligation for those existing listings. If you choose to purchase a paid upgrade or another paid package, its price and renewal terms will be shown before purchase.

Those existing free listings keep their original free arrangements. Introducing the new 365-day Free Starter plan does not add an expiry date, subscription or new feature restrictions to them.

5. How to cancel automatic renewal

You can stop future renewals at any time before your next payment is due:

  1. Sign in to My Account → Subscriptions.
  2. Open the subscription you want to manage.
  3. Select Cancel and check the updated subscription status.

You can also email info@creativeapple.ltd with the email address on your account and your subscription or order number. Tell us clearly that you want to cancel renewal.

Cancelling renewal stops future annual charges. Your paid package continues until the end of the period already paid for; it may appear as “Pending cancellation” until then. After that date, the paid listing and its paid features expire unless you purchase a new package. Deleting a listing alone does not cancel its subscription: use the subscription cancellation option or contact us.

Cancelling future renewal does not normally refund the current paid period. This does not affect any refund or other remedy due where we have not provided the service properly, or any statutory cancellation right. Existing free listings do not become chargeable because a paid subscription is cancelled.

6. Failed payments

If a payment fails, we may ask you to update your payment method. Paid features may be suspended while the payment remains unresolved. You can review your order and subscription in your account or contact us for help.

7. Consumer cancellation rights

Business listing packages are intended for business use. If you purchase any of our advertising or promotion services as a consumer and statutory distance-selling cancellation rights apply, you may cancel a service contract within 14 days after it is made without giving a reason. Email us or use the Contact Us page with a clear statement of cancellation, your name, account email and order number.

You may use this wording, but do not have to: “I give notice that I cancel my contract for [package], ordered on [date], order number [number]. My name and address are [details].”

If you expressly request the service to start during the cancellation period, a lawful proportionate charge may apply for the service already provided. Any refund due will be made within the applicable legal time limit, normally by the original payment method. Cancelling the contract during a statutory cancellation period is separate from stopping a future renewal. Any additional cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable law remain available.

8. Service issues and complaints

We will provide our service with reasonable care and skill. If something goes wrong, email info@creativeapple.ltd with your order number, listing link and a description of the problem so we can investigate and address it.

We remain responsible for our contractual and legal obligations. These terms do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. They do not remove a consumer’s legal rights to appropriate remedies for services that are not supplied as agreed or with reasonable care and skill.

9. Privacy and changes to these terms

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. We may update these terms for future purchases. Material changes affecting an existing subscription will be notified in advance and will not remove rights relating to a period already paid for.

The law of England and Wales governs these terms. This does not remove mandatory consumer protections or access to local courts available under applicable law.

Rental advertising

Our rental packages provide advertising on Greater Manchester Businesses. Standard costs £5.00 for one advert for 30 days, with up to 8 gallery photos. Featured costs £10.00 for one advert for 30 days, with up to 12 gallery photos, a featured marker and priority in our standard search results. Both packages cover rooms, houses, flats, offices, shops and garages. A featured advert does not have a guaranteed position in every search or sort order.

The price is our advertising fee. It is separate from the rent, tenancy deposit and other property costs stated by the advertiser. We do not collect rent or tenancy deposits through the advertising checkout, arrange tenancies or act as a letting agent.

Rental advertising is a one-time purchase with no automatic renewal. You can edit or remove your advert from your account. Editing or removing it early does not restart or extend the period. When the advert expires, you can choose to purchase another advertising period if the property is still available. These rental packages are separate from our annually renewing business-listing subscriptions.

You must own the property or have the authority and necessary permissions to advertise it. Your advert must be accurate, lawful and kept up to date, including the asking rent, availability, deposit, bills and other relevant property information. Remove or update it promptly when it is no longer available. For residential lettings subject to the rental-bidding rules in England, state a specific asking rent and do not invite or accept offers above it. Do not publish unlawful discriminatory restrictions.

Advertisers are responsible for their property, permissions, applicable licensing, safety and energy information, and dealings with prospective occupiers. Information is supplied by advertisers. Publication or a featured label does not mean that we have inspected a property or verified its ownership, condition, safety or legal compliance. We do not guarantee enquiries, a tenant or a completed letting. Any viewing, tenancy or other occupation agreement is arranged directly between the relevant parties.

We may request clarification or evidence, refuse misleading or unlawful adverts, and remove content that breaches these terms. Prospective occupiers should check the property, advertiser and terms before paying money or entering an agreement. Your statutory rights and the cancellation and refund provisions elsewhere in these terms continue to apply to the advertising service.

Event advertising

Standard event advertising costs £5.00 for one event advert for 30 days, with up to 8 gallery photos. Featured event advertising costs £10.00 for one event advert for 30 days, with up to 12 gallery photos, a featured marker and priority in standard event search results. These are one-time payments with no automatic renewal. You can manage or remove your advert from your account and choose to buy another advertising period after expiry. Editing or removing an advert does not restart or extend its paid period.

These prices are advertising fees, separate from any attendance or ticket price charged by an organiser. Our event advertising checkout does not issue tickets, reserve places or collect ticket revenue. A ticket purchase through an external link is with the seller identified there.

The organiser is responsible for the event, its permissions, and accurate dates, venue, accessibility, age restrictions, attendance prices and booking information. Update or remove an advert promptly if the event changes, is cancelled or has passed. Publication or a featured label does not mean that we organise, sponsor or verify the event. We do not guarantee attendance, enquiries or a fixed position in every search or sort order.

Cancellation and refund rights for our advertising service are separate from an organiser’s ticket terms. Your statutory rights and the cancellation provisions elsewhere in these terms continue to apply.

Optional listing promotions

An eligible published listing can be promoted for £5.00 for 7 days or £12.00 for 30 days. Promotions are optional, one-time purchases and do not renew automatically. A promotion increases the listing’s priority in standard results during the promotion period; it does not guarantee a fixed position in every sort order, a homepage placement, views, enquiries or sales.

A purchased promotion must be assigned to an eligible listing. Its promotion period begins when it is activated for that listing after successful payment. Purchasing an unassigned promotion does not itself promote every listing on your account. When the promotion ends, the listing returns to its previous priority. Promotion expiry is processed by the site’s scheduled tasks, so removal of the promoted position may not occur at an exact minute.

A promotion does not extend the listing’s own publication period or replace the package required to publish it. Choose a duration appropriate to the time remaining on the listing. Only one promotion can be active on a listing at a time. Your statutory rights and the cancellation provisions elsewhere in these terms continue to apply.

Marketplace products, services and sellers

Who you buy from

Greater Manchester Businesses provides the marketplace. When you buy an independent seller’s product or service, the contract is between you and the seller identified for that offer. That seller is responsible for the product or service and fulfilling the contract. Creative Apple Solutions Ltd supplies the platform’s own listing, advertising and promotion services. If we sell a product ourselves, we must be identified as its seller and are responsible for that sale.

Providing the website or payment facilities does not, by itself, make us the supplier of another seller’s goods or services. This distinction does not exclude responsibility for our own services, statements or conduct, or any obligation the law places on us as a marketplace operator.

Seller identity and information

Sellers must provide accurate identity and contact information and clearly state whether they act as a business or a private individual. A business seller must provide its legal and trading names, geographical business address, direct contact email, and company registration, VAT or other statutory details where applicable. These details, delivery arrangements and cancellation and returns information must be available to the buyer before purchase. Do not use a trading name to conceal the person or business responsible for a sale.

A commercial seller must not describe themselves as private to avoid consumer obligations. Rights in a genuine private sale can differ from those when buying from a business, but products must still be described honestly and the seller must have the right to sell them. A seller’s presence, payment-account connection, paid advertisement or featured label is not our certification of the seller or product.

Products, delivery and collection

Sellers are responsible for accurate descriptions, photographs, prices, stock, product safety, legal permissions and any required warnings. They must make the total price and unavoidable charges clear and obtain agreement to optional extras. Items from different sellers may be fulfilled separately. Buyers should check the named seller and the delivery or collection terms before paying.

The seller must supply the product on the agreed terms and resolve missing, damaged, faulty or misdescribed goods. Where a business seller arranges delivery to a consumer, it remains responsible for the goods until the consumer or their nominated recipient receives them. The customer must not be told to pursue the seller’s courier instead of exercising rights against the seller.

For consumer goods, the seller must deliver within the agreed period or, if no other period was agreed, without undue delay and within 30 days. If delivery fails, the buyer may set an appropriate further deadline and end the contract if it is missed. Immediate termination may apply where the seller refuses delivery or the agreed delivery timing was essential. Refunds and other remedies remain subject to the consumer’s legal rights.

If an order does not arrive or something is wrong

  1. Contact the named seller using their published contact details or the contact/support option on the store page. Give the order number, expected delivery date and a clear description of the problem.
  2. If the seller does not resolve it, is unreachable, or you suspect an unsafe product or misuse of the platform, email info@creativeapple.ltd or use Contact Us. Include the product/store link and relevant messages, tracking or photographs. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details.
  3. We will review reports relating to the platform and the records available to us. We may ask the parties for information, contact the seller, request corrective action and restrict an advert, product or account where justified. We will explain the outcome or next steps as appropriate. Any refund must be handled by the responsible party through the applicable order and payment process.

This process does not guarantee recovery of money or a particular outcome. You do not have to exhaust it before using a statutory remedy, contacting your card issuer or payment provider, or taking other lawful action. Such providers apply their own requirements and deadlines. Do not make duplicate claims for compensation already received; tell the relevant parties if a dispute has been resolved.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

When a consumer buys goods online from a business seller, they normally have 14 days after delivery to notify cancellation and a further 14 days to return the goods. Exceptions can apply, including genuinely personalised goods and certain sealed hygiene products after opening. Sellers must explain any relevant exception and return-cost responsibility before purchase. These exceptions do not remove remedies for faulty, unsafe or misdescribed goods.

The responsible seller must provide the refunds and other remedies required by law, including delivery charges where required. Our commission or a payment-processing charge must not be deducted from a refund where the customer is legally entitled to that amount. A seller policy cannot remove statutory rights.

Seller fees and payments

There is no product-listing fee and no compulsory seller subscription. Our platform commission is 8% of the product subtotal, excluding tax and shipping, plus £0.50 for each item sold. The fixed part follows the quantity purchased: two items incur two £0.50 charges, even when they appear on the same order line. Sellers also bear applicable Stripe payment-processing fees, which are separate and may vary by transaction and payment method. These seller fees are not added as an extra buyer checkout fee.

Sellers must complete the required Stripe connection and onboarding before receiving marketplace payments. Processing, transfers and bank payouts are subject to Stripe’s requirements, checks and schedules; we do not promise immediate bank payment. Refunds, chargebacks, reversals and disputed transactions can affect balances after an initial payment or transfer.

Sellers must cooperate with genuine order, refund and payment disputes and provide accurate fulfilment evidence. Where permitted by law and the applicable payment arrangements, we may seek repayment of documented refunds, reversals and dispute costs attributable to a seller’s non-delivery, failure to provide an agreed service, misdescription, unlawful conduct or other breach of their obligations. We will explain the basis and allow the seller to raise an error or dispute. This does not make the seller responsible for losses caused by our own breach, create a right to arbitrary deductions, or reduce a buyer’s legal entitlement. Closing an account does not remove unresolved order obligations or amounts properly due.

Optional marketplace product advertising

Sellers can advertise one eligible marketplace product for £10.00 for 7 days using the seller dashboard option where available. This is a one-time purchase with no automatic renewal, separate from sales commission and processing fees.

This promotes a shop product and is separate from business, rental and event listing promotions. The product must remain published and eligible. Advertising does not guarantee a particular position, views, enquiries or sales. The advertising-service terms and applicable cancellation and refund rights also apply.

Prohibited products, misuse and restrictions

Do not offer illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, stolen, recalled or otherwise prohibited products, misleading offers, false reviews or unauthorised use of another person’s rights. Sellers must own the goods or have authority to sell them and hold any necessary permissions. They must comply with relevant payment-provider restrictions as well as the law.

We may request relevant information, decline or remove a misleading or unlawful offer, limit a feature, or suspend an account that breaches these terms. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and allow a response or correction. Urgent protective action may be necessary before that response. Restrictions do not extinguish existing customer claims, refund duties or our own obligations.

Our paid advertising services are supplied by Creative Apple Solutions Ltd and are separate from third-party product sales. We do not provide an escrow service or a separate buyer-protection guarantee. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer rights, or removes our responsibility for our own contractual and legal obligations.

Services and appointment bookings

This section applies where a seller publishes a service that can be booked through the marketplace. Availability depends on the individual published offer. A directory entry or event advert alone does not create a bookable appointment or reserve a place.

The service provider and your booking

Your service contract is with the provider identified on the offer. The provider is responsible for delivering the service, their staff, qualifications, permissions, safety and customer remedies. If Creative Apple Solutions Ltd is identified as the provider, we are responsible for that service. The marketplace responsibilities and complaint process above also apply to bookings; we remain responsible for our own services and legal obligations.

Providers set their own prices, duration and availability. Before a customer commits, the offer must identify the provider and explain what is included, the total payable, date, time and relevant time zone, duration, location or delivery method, any participation requirements, and the cancellation, rescheduling and no-show conditions. Any requirement for the provider to confirm a request must be clear before submission. Check the booking’s confirmation and status; a submitted enquiry or request is not necessarily a confirmed appointment.

Providers must keep availability accurate, honour confirmed bookings and promptly tell customers about changes. A replacement date or materially different service requires the customer’s agreement. Customers should provide accurate contact details, check the confirmed arrangements and contact the provider promptly if they need a change.

Cancellation, rescheduling and non-attendance

The provider’s clearly disclosed booking policy applies subject to statutory rights. It must explain how to cancel or request a change, the relevant deadline and any fair charge. A missed appointment does not automatically authorise an undisclosed extra payment. Cancellation and no-show charges must not be punitive: where a consumer charge is lawful, it must reflect a reasonable estimate of the provider’s directly resulting loss, taking account of costs saved and reasonable efforts to refill the appointment. The same loss must not be charged twice.

If the provider cancels or cannot deliver the agreed service, they must provide any refund or other remedy required by law. A customer cannot be required to accept a voucher or alternative appointment instead of a refund to which they are legally entitled. If a service is not performed with reasonable care and skill, statutory remedies can include repeat performance or a price reduction.

Consumer cooling-off rights

Consumers buying a service online from a business normally have 14 days after the contract is made to cancel. Selecting an appointment date does not by itself remove that right. Some categories have specific exceptions, including accommodation or leisure services for a specified date or period; a provider must identify any applicable exception before purchase and must not apply it to unrelated services.

If a consumer expressly asks for performance to begin within a cancellation period, a lawful proportionate charge may be due for the part supplied before cancellation. The right is lost following full performance within that period only where the legal conditions are met, including the consumer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement of that consequence. These terms alone do not record that consent. Other statutory rights remain unaffected.

Send cancellation or service concerns to the provider using the contact details supplied with the offer, with your booking or order number. You can also report unresolved problems through Contact Us. The platform complaint process does not replace rights against the provider or payment-provider remedies.

Fees for service providers

Service providers pay the same platform commission: 8% of the service subtotal, excluding tax and shipping, plus £0.50 for each service item sold. The fixed part uses the quantity recorded on the order; it is not a separate charge for each participant, day or hour unless those are sold as separate quantities. There is no compulsory seller subscription. Applicable Stripe processing fees are separate. The seller payment, refund, dispute and lawful cost-recovery provisions above also apply to service providers.

Advertising Content and Approval Policy

This policy applies to all advertising submitted to Greater Manchester Businesses, including artwork, text, claims, links, redirects and destination pages throughout the campaign. Advertisers must hold the necessary permissions, substantiate factual claims and comply with applicable law and advertising rules. Our platform standards may be stricter than the legal minimum.

Prohibited Content

We do not accept advertisements containing or promoting:

  • Pornography or sexually explicit content or services, as a platform policy.
  • Illegal drugs or the unlawful supply of controlled substances.
  • Prescription-only medicines advertised to the public; medicines without the required authorisation; medical devices without legally required conformity or registration; or unlawful or unsupported medical claims.
  • Fraud, scams, counterfeit or stolen goods, unlawful weapons, hatred or incitement to violence, exploitation or trafficking, malware, phishing, infringement of intellectual-property rights, or any other unlawful product, service or activity.

Gambling and Other Restricted Promotions

Gambling advertising requires separate written approval and is not authorised by ordinary campaign approval. We will consider it only after verifying an appropriate, current Gambling Commission licence covering the advertised operator, brand, domain and activity, and assessing the creative, destination and proposed placement against applicable law and the CAP Code. The advertiser must provide verifiable licensing details, significant promotional conditions and evidence supporting lawful audience selection.

Gambling advertisements must not target under-18s, strongly appeal to them, exploit vulnerable people, promise guaranteed returns, present gambling as a solution to financial difficulties, or misleadingly suggest that gambling or an offer is risk-free. We do not permit them in content directed at children or placements where under-18s constitute, or are reasonably likely to constitute, 25% or more of the audience.

We will not approve a campaign where lawful placement and the necessary audience safeguards cannot be established and maintained. An “18+” label does not replace those safeguards. Purchasing an ordinary News advertising package does not authorise gambling advertising or its inclusion in general advertising rotation. Lotteries and other specially regulated promotions require separate assessment.

Review, Changes and Campaign Timing

For News banner campaigns, allow 24–48 hours after payment and submission of complete artwork for manual review and publication of approved adverts. Publication is subject to administrator approval; payment alone does not publish an advertisement. We may reject unlawful material or content that breaches this policy. Manual approval applies only to the specific artwork and destination link reviewed. We will email the approval or rejection decision, identify the approved material where applicable, and explain the reason for rejection.

A paid News banner campaign starts only once both payment and approval requirements are met. Advertisers must promptly notify us of relevant changes to content, links, destination pages or licensing. Changed material requires further review before use. Once a campaign has started, requesting changes pauses display while the original campaign clock continues, including time spent awaiting review. Re-review, replacement artwork or subsequent approval does not restart or extend that period or its original expiry date. Concealed redirects, substituted content and attempts to evade review are prohibited.

We may request evidence and refuse, pause or remove advertising where we reasonably identify a legal, regulatory or policy concern. Any cancellation, refund or other remedy is governed by the applicable advertising terms and statutory rights; this policy creates no separate blanket no-refund rule.

Our review is not regulatory approval or an endorsement. It does not remove the advertiser’s responsibilities or our own legal obligations as publisher. Nothing in this policy excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricts applicable statutory rights.

News banner advertising

News banner advertising is a service supplied by Creative Apple Solutions Ltd. Each paid package covers one campaign for your selected period of 7, 15, 30 or 60 days. You pay once, with no automatic renewal.

One-time News advertising prices
Package 7 days 15 days 30 days 60 days
Footer £9.99 £17.99 £29.99 £49.99
Growth £19.99 £34.99 £59.99 £99.99
Premium £39.99 £69.99 £119.99 £199.99

Footer is eligible for article-footer positions. Growth is eligible for middle-of-article, footer and desktop-sidebar positions. Premium is eligible for top, middle, footer, desktop-sidebar and News-homepage positions. These are possible positions, not a promise that your advert will occupy every position or appear on every page view. The News homepage placement is available to Premium campaigns.

Your chosen period starts only when both payment and our artwork approval are complete. Approving an unpaid campaign does not start it. Your account shows its status and, once started, its expiry date. The purchased period and amount are recorded with your order. Later changes to our prices do not alter that purchased period or order amount. Existing 30-day purchases retain their original 30-day arrangements.

Reapproval or resuming a paused advert does not restart or extend its purchased period. Use My Account → Advertising to pause future display; pausing is not an automatic refund request. A new paid campaign requires a separate purchase.

Supply a desktop image of 1200 × 400 pixels and a mobile image of 600 × 500 pixels. Growth and Premium also require a 600 × 900 pixel portrait image. Each file must be JPG, PNG or WebP and no larger than 1 MB. Provide an accurate business name, accessible image description and destination URL. Artwork is displayed without cropping; the available format depends on screen size and page layout.

Adverts rotate between eligible campaigns. To keep articles readable, shorter articles show at most one inline advert and longer articles at most two, with no more than one additional desktop-side placement. Desktop sidebar adverts appear below the sidebar information blocks. Mobile adverts appear within the page; they are not pop-ups or fixed overlays. The same campaign appears at most once per page load. Paid campaigns are considered before operator promotions, which fill remaining available advertising space. No package guarantees views, clicks, enquiries, sales, exclusive placement or a fixed share of displays.

You must own the artwork or have permission to use it, and you remain responsible for the advert’s accuracy, claims, permissions and destination website. Do not upload confidential information, unlawful or misleading content, or material infringing another person’s rights. Tell us if a destination is an affiliate or referral link so it can be labelled appropriately. We may request corrections, decline an advert or suspend it if it breaches these terms or creates a reasonable legal or security concern.

If we decline a campaign before it starts and no suitable correction is agreed, we will refund the advertising fee. Contact us with your order number to resolve artwork, cancellation or refund questions. A payment placed on hold, cancelled, failed, refunded or disputed may stop display while the matter is resolved. The consumer cancellation and statutory rights described elsewhere in these terms still apply; purchasing or approving a banner does not itself waive them. We do not promise an automatic refund process or permit pausing to extend the purchased period.

Adverts open the advertiser’s destination in a new tab. Third-party offers are governed by the destination provider’s terms, and an advertisement is not our guarantee of that provider’s products or services. Clearly labelled operator promotions and affiliate links may appear in unsold space. We may receive a referral benefit from an affiliate link; this does not alter your statutory rights. Administrator-managed operator promotions may run until manually stopped, without a fixed expiry; this is not a lifetime option offered with paid customer packages and does not override the priority given to eligible paid campaigns.

Calculator estimates and optional email copies

Calculator results are illustrations based on the figures and assumptions shown, rather than a quote, approval, diagnosis or personalised financial, tax or medical advice. Check the tool-specific notes and relevant professional guidance before making decisions. Email copies are recalculated on our server from your submitted figures. Rounding or updated calculation rules may affect the displayed copy.

Use the email option only for an address you own and check it before submitting. BMI emails require your separate explicit consent to emailing health information and any ethnicity details you provide. After your request and the required consent, we attempt to send the recalculated estimate directly. Optional marketing consent is separate, uses its own confirmation step and is not required to receive an estimate. Request limits and duplicate-prevention checks help prevent misuse.

An “accepted” message means that the mail service accepted the request; it does not confirm arrival in your inbox. Check your spam folder. Repeating unchanged details reuses the same request reference to reduce duplicate messages. We do not guarantee email delivery. These terms do not exclude rights or liabilities which cannot lawfully be excluded. Details of processing and retention appear in the Privacy Policy.

News, sources and AI assistance

Our news service reports information relevant to Greater Manchester. We may use AI tools to assist with research organisation, summaries, drafting and illustrations. Articles may bring together information from several credible sources, including public bodies, educational institutions, transport operators and other organisations with direct knowledge of an announcement. We aim to distinguish reported facts, attributed claims, opinion and future plans, and to identify relevant sources and dates. Using AI does not remove our responsibility for material we publish.

News reflects the information available when it is prepared. An announcement, forecast or proposal is not confirmation that an event has happened or a target has been achieved. Information can change, and source material may contain errors. We welcome corrections and may update articles, add clarification or remove material where appropriate. Source links acknowledge reporting evidence; they do not imply endorsement, partnership or permission to reproduce everything on the linked website.

Photographs and illustrations

Images used by us may include our own material, images supplied with suitable permission, licensed stock and AI-assisted or AI-generated illustrations. An illustration should not be understood as documentary evidence of a particular person, property, completed project or event. Where the distinction matters, we will identify the image’s illustrative nature or provide appropriate context. Copyright and licence conditions continue to apply to photographs and other creative works. Giving a photographer or website a credit does not, by itself, authorise copying.

Material you submit

These requirements apply to photographs, graphics, descriptions, logos, videos and other material submitted for business listings, events, property or rental advertisements, products, profiles, reviews and other contributions. You must own the relevant rights or have permission covering the submission and the uses described below. Where you act for a business, owner or other person, you must have authority to do so. Do not upload material merely because you found it online or because another platform allows you to view it.

You are responsible for ensuring that your contribution is accurate, lawful and does not infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy or other rights. Obtain necessary permissions for personal information and images of identifiable people. Keep evidence of applicable licences or permissions and provide relevant information reasonably requested to investigate a complaint. Do not remove required credits or ownership information. These responsibilities do not transfer ownership of your material to us or excuse our own unlawful conduct.

Permission needed to display your contribution

You retain the rights you hold in submitted material. By submitting content for publication, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, technically format, resize and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate this website and show the contribution you asked us to publish. Our technical service providers may carry out those activities on our behalf for that purpose. This is not a general right to sell your images, use them in unrelated advertising or treat your private uploads as an AI-training collection.

The licence lasts while the contribution is published and for the period reasonably necessary to remove technical copies, meet legal record-keeping requirements or resolve an existing dispute. Retaining a record for those purposes does not authorise continued public display. Removal from our service cannot automatically remove copies independently saved or lawfully republished by others. Separate written permission is required for uses outside this limited licence.

Corrections, rights complaints and removal

Send editorial corrections and rights complaints to info@creativeapple.ltd, identifying the exact page address and the material concerned. Explain the error or the right you believe has been infringed, the outcome requested and your contact details. For copyright complaints, identify the protected work, its owner and your authority to act; provide supporting links or permission information where available. Include your full name and, where needed for a legal notice, a postal address. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents.

If you complain that a statement is defamatory, identify the statement, the meaning you say it conveys, the factual inaccuracies or unsupported opinions and the harm alleged. Please also state whether you have sufficient information to identify and bring proceedings against its author, and whether you agree to your name and email being passed to that person. We will consider complaints and may seek clarification, contact the contributor, correct material, or temporarily restrict or remove it. Where we obtain the knowledge or awareness requiring removal or disabling of unlawful hosted material, we will act expeditiously as required by law. A contributor may provide relevant evidence in response; we do not promise that disputed material will remain online.

Responsibilities and legal rights

A contributor’s obligations do not mean that we are automatically free from liability. Any legal protection for hosting third-party material depends on the applicable law and circumstances, including our knowledge and response. We remain responsible for our own obligations, and courts may require action. Nothing in these provisions excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes consumer rights or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. These additions do not change existing payment, cancellation or refund rights.

Journey Costs and Optional Road Distances

Fuel prices, electricity prices, consumption figures and vehicle settings shown in the calculators are editable examples or your own inputs, not verified current prices or a guarantee of your vehicle’s performance. Check them against your vehicle and tariff. Optional make, model, year, engine capacity and power describe your estimate; they do not set consumption automatically. Petrol, diesel and non-plug-in hybrid estimates use the consumption you enter. A plug-in hybrid estimate separates electric-only and fuel-powered distance; it does not simulate simultaneous engine and motor assistance.

Costs are estimates and actual consumption and charging costs depend on driving conditions, weather, load, route and charging losses. An optional return journey assumes the same distance back. Enter any parking, tolls and other extra charges once for the entire journey; charges you do not enter are excluded. Cost sharing divides the total between the number of people you specify, including the driver.

Where available and enabled, the optional Mapbox lookup provides address suggestions and an estimated distance for a suggested driving route. Check the selected places and distance before using the result. It is not turn-by-turn navigation, a live traffic guarantee or an EV charging-stop plan, and it does not confirm that your battery can complete a journey. Actual routes, restrictions and distances can change. The lookup may be temporarily unavailable, including when its usage allowance is reached; you can still enter your own distance.

The calculator and optional-email provisions above continue to apply. Address lookup processing is explained in the Privacy Policy.
